By default, the Library has different sections to help you find the scenario you are looking for. The top bar has Filters, Competence, and Search tabs.
Filters Tab
By clicking on the Filters tab, one can filter for scenarios based on scenario Difficulty Level or Scenario Type. Click on a filter(s) for the it to take effect.
Type - there are two types of scenarios:
Open Range - these types of scenarios lack an assessment and are normally tutorial-based and beginner-friendly.
Cyber Challenge - these types of scenarios have an assessment and users are required to answer the questions provided in the assessment for successful completion of the scenario.
Difficulty - this will filter the scenarios according to the level of difficulty.
Category - one can choose the scenario to play based on their category/domain.
Injections - Once can search scenarios with/without injections (attack simulations)
Tags - Enables you to search scenarios by specific tags e.g. linux
Author - Enables you to search scenarios created by a specific author
Subscription search - this enables you to search for a given subscription by its unique name.
Owned Subscriptions - this will filter in for the scenarios or courses that are subscribed to your account.
Filtering by Competence
You can filter the content by the NIST NICE competence framework. When selected, the user can opt to filter by the Top 10 Work Roles or drill down to specific categories:
Clicking on a given category allows you to drill down deeper through the category, all the way to specific KSAs (Knowledge, Skill & Ability)
To filter, for a category or KSA, select the category/KSA and then click Apply:
NOTE: Using either the category or KSA may yield slightly different results. A category will have all the KSA of the filtered category. However, KSA will only have the selected KSA filtered for.
Category
One can choose the scenario to play based on their category. More than one category can be
chosen. To choose a category, check its box and click APPLY to get a list of scenarios based on
the categories of your choice.
Search
To find a scenario, one can also do a basic search using keywords on the search bar at the top far right. For instance, to search for scenarios with the Apache keyword, search for "apache" as shown below:
This will display a list of scenarios that match the search as follows:
NOTE: If any filters or categories were set earlier, a search will be based on them. For a clean search throughout all scenarios clear the filters as follows:
The Scenarios have the following additional sections:
New Releases
Shows a list of the most recently published (released) scenarios.
Top Rated
Shows a list of the top-rated scenarios from the ratings by other users on CYBER RANGES.
Most Popular
Shows the most popular scenarios on CYBER RANGES.
Categories
The next section usually shows scenarios based on different categories e.g., Web, PWN, Stego, Networking etc.
NOTE: The icon on the scenario categories can be used to scroll or view more scenarios in a category.
