To create your own private playlists, click on the + NEW PLAYLIST icon on the top right of the main Playlists menu:
In the subsequent form, you need to provide the following information:
- Name – give your playlists a uniquely identifiable name.
- Description – provide a short, brief description about the context or purpose of the playlist.
- Tags – tags are essentially keywords associated with an object on the platform, in this case, playlist. The keyword you type in, remember to press ENTER on your keyboard.
Once you create a playlist, in the Playlists main menu, it will appear under the MY PLAYLISTS section:
Adding content to a playlist
To populate the playlists, use the + ADD option from within the playlists:
There are two sets of options available (well three): Adding a Scenario or Adding a Sub-Playlist.
Note: a sub-playlist is a set of scenarios, which, if you remember from our playlist’s definition, infers, a playlist can house a set of playlists, which are referred to as a sub-playlist. Thus, the two options under the Sub-Playlists allow you to either add an existing playlist to your playlist or create a new playlist that will be part of your playlist.
For example, if we want to add a scenario, click the Add new scenario option, then search for the scenario, select it and click ADD SCENARIO:
As for the Sub-playlists, it is important to note, do not add a “playlist” that already contains a set of sub-playlists.
Thus, to add a playlist to be a sub-playlist, click the Add existing sub-playlist:
Similar to the scenario option, search for the playlist, select it, and then click the ADD PLAYLIST button.
Another Alternative is to create a new sub-playlist. To do so, simply click the Create new sub-playlist option, a form quite similar to the creating playlist form will pop-up. Provide information similar to how it was described in the creating of a playlist from earlier:
Once created, note that, you can populate the sub-playlist with scenarios, by clicking the + ADD SCENARIO icon on the sub-playlist:
Additionally, you may have noticed when creating the sub-playlist that, there was an option to replace/upload a cover image for your sub-playlist. This option is also available for your main playlist as shown above. Hovering the mouse on the cover default cover image (both on your playlist and sub-playlists that you own), will give you the Replace cover image option.
At this stage, once you fill your playlists with content, only you will be able to access the playlists. If you wish to make the playlist public, e.g., you are an instructor who has curated a set of content that should be consumed in a particular manner, you would need an admin enable account to achieve this.
