On CYBER RANGES, you can connect to the virtual machines directly on the browser using the web console or using VPN where you directly SSH to the machines right from your local machine.
For you to connect via VPN, you can choose to download the CYBER RANGES VPN client. Alternatively, using the commercially available OpenVPN Client & Certificate for your designated operating system. The CYBER RANGES VPN client does not require any configurations, hence, once downloaded and installed, you should be able to access the range via VPN.
For the OpenVPN certificate, you are required to download and install OpenVPN on your machine. On Windows, after downloading OpenVPN you will be provided with a Graphical User Interface (GUI) that you can interact with. OpenVPN comes pre-installed on Linux machines.
Video guides on how to connect to the VPN are available on the following links:

Once OpenVPN has been installed, there are two ways of downloading your VPN certificate on the CYBER RANGES main app.
- Head over to your profile icon and click on the Download Certificate button.
- Start the scenario you want to play, and on the top menu, you will see a red VPN icon. Click on it and once again click on the Download Certificate button.
A certificate will automatically be downloaded to your machine and depending on your operating system, you can now go ahead and connect to it. Once you are connected, the VPN icon will automatically change from red to green.
